Washington DUI bail set at 50k for sixth arrest

Benton County, WA - After racking up his sixth arrest for DUI, Chanthone Souriyavongsa is being held in the Benton County jail on $50,000 bail after pleading not guilty to DUI last Thursday.

Under Washington DUI Law, a drunk driving arrest becomes a felony if the defendant has 4 or more prior DUI convictions in the past decade.

Chanthone Souriyavongsa's breath alcohol level registered a .137, well over the legal limit of .08 in Washington State.

His trial is set for September 21, 2009 in Benton County Superior Court.
